Job Description

Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort is expanding its housekeeping department. Multiple full-time opportunities are now available.

About the job

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms. This includes making beds with care, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to keep rooms clean and ready for guests.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Work with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Follow safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Use specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively. All training and tools are provided.
• Build strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors. This helps create a positive and respectful work environment.

Shift Details

• Minimum of 30 hours per week
• $27 NZD per hour
• Shifts starting at 9.00am
• Rotating roster from Monday through Sunday

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• A basic understanding of the safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Training will be provided.
• Good physical fitness and stamina. You must be able to do repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills for working with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
