The Welder position supports the LOGCAP program and is physically based in the Philippines. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Lead, this role is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining metal components used in machinery, industrial equipment, and power systems. The position requires technical expertise, physical endurance, and strict compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
The Welder performs a wide range of fabrication and repair tasks, including:
- Welding metal components to fabricate or repair machine parts, plant equipment, motors, generators, and other industrial products based on layouts, blueprints, or work orders.
- Using brazing techniques and various arc and gas welding processes.
- Performing related tasks such as thermal cutting, grinding, filling holes, increasing metal part sizes, and repairing broken or cracked components.
- Positioning and clamping fabricated metal components prior to welding.
- Locating and repairing cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads using inspection equipment and gas torches.
- Meeting certification standards and passing employer or regulatory performance tests as required.
- Carrying out additional duties as assigned to meet program or company requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must provide copies of all required certificates.
- Must be a Filipino citizen with a valid Host Nation Driver’s License.
- Must hold a valid Welder’s Certification (National Certificate [NC] I).
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in various welding processes or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be a certified welder and able to meet employer and regulatory certification standards.
Skills
- Ability to pass and maintain AWS Welding Code Certifications as required.
- Proficiency in various welding tools, techniques, and processes.
- Intermediate English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical reports, documents, and blueprints.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and procedural compliance.
Desired Knowledge
- Knowledge of industrial welding standards and inspection methods.
- Understanding of thermal cutting, grinding, and metal fabrication techniques.
- Familiarity with working in extreme environmental and industrial conditions.
- Awareness of fire safety regulations, PPE usage, and workplace safety policies.
