Responsibilities
- Perform welding repairs on piping, plant equipment, and other structures.
- Carry out SMAW welding for fabrication and pipe work.
- Fabricate and modify skip buckets, gangways, cradles, and other yard-related equipment.
- Conduct welding work on shiplift platform structures, STC platform structures, grating, and rails.
- Ensure safe use of company equipment and tools while minimizing material wastage.
- Maintain positive working relationships with workers, supervisors, and management.
- Perform Foreman duties when assigned for specific projects.
- Check materials to ensure they meet required standards before use and report damages when necessary.
- Complete assigned work within the allocated timescale to meet departmental targets.
- Participate in training programs required by the department.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness in all work areas.
Requirements
- Relevant certification or training in welding or metal fabrication.
- Experience in welding, equipment repair, and metal fabrication work.
- Familiarity with industrial tools, welding machines, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to follow safety regulations and operational procedures.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.
