Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize the assigned service station while supervising Assistant Waiters or Café attendants.
  • Deliver efficient and courteous food and beverage service in line with company standards.
  • Present menus, recommend courses and wines, and answer guest inquiries with confidence.
  • Relay orders using MXP Ordering Software and coordinate with the Galley for timely service.
  • Oversee restaurant reservations, seating arrangements, and room service when required.
  • Conduct inventory checks and maintain stock according to company procedures.
  • Prepare for dining services, special events, cocktail parties, and tea times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, ensuring equipment and service areas are properly cleaned and organized.
  • Participate in embarkation duties, guest assistance, and daily operational briefings.
  • Uphold safety, environmental, and public health policies at all times.
  • Stay informed about ship activities, itineraries, and shore excursions to better assist guests.
  • Support other departments and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a waiter or in a similar role within a premium hospitality environment; shipboard experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverages, including allergy awareness.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum age of 21 years, physically fit, and able to handle demanding tasks such as lifting and prolonged standing.
  • Ability to work independently and remain flexible in high-pressure situations.
  • Professional appearance with impeccable hygiene standards and adherence to grooming policies.
  • Willingness to complete mandatory medical examinations and comply with company regulations.
