Responsibilities
As a Technician Welder, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing TIG welding to refurbish aircraft engine components while maintaining strict quality standards
- Supporting cell operations including benching, blasting, brazing, blending, polishing, and cold working processes
- Operating and potentially being trained on new automation machines used in advanced manufacturing processes
- Participating in Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) training and ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities
- Following technical documentation and maintaining compliance with aerospace industry standards
Requirements
Candidates applying for this position should meet the following requirements:
- GCE ‘O’ Level or NITEC in Precision Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in TIG welding
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Strong attention to detail with a hands-on technical approach
- Willingness to learn new welding techniques and methodologies
- Ability to work rotating shifts (day and night) and perform overtime when required
