Responsibilities
As a Pool Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to guest repair and maintenance requests
- Performing preventive maintenance on tools, pool systems, and equipment
- Inspecting and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
- Maintaining and repairing pool-related equipment such as pumps, motors, and heaters
- Identifying and operating shut-off valves for equipment systems
- Performing advanced repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintaining maintenance inventory and ordering necessary supplies
- Communicating daily activities and issues across shifts
- Following Lockout/Tagout safety procedures before maintenance work
- Assisting in training and mentoring other engineering staff when required
- Performing general engineering duties including inspections, repairs, and system monitoring
Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- Vocational or technical training in maintenance, engineering, or related fields
- Minimum of 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification
- Compliance with applicable state and federal licensing requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
