Responsibilities

  • Prepare delicious, healthy, and nutritionally balanced meals using Nido-approved menus.
  • Purchase food supplies and manage kitchen inventory efficiently.
  • Ensure all dietary requirements and allergy restrictions are carefully followed.
  • Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
  • Apply risk minimisation strategies and communicate effectively regarding children’s dietary needs.

Requirements

  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (required).
  • Certificate II or III in Commercial Cookery (desirable).
  • Experience working in a childcare or aged care environment.
  • Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • Strong knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements.

Skills and Desired Knowledge
