Responsibilities
As a Cleaner on board, your duties include:
- Performing cleaning and maintenance tasks according to Royal Caribbean International’s The Royal Way, SQM standards, and USPH guidelines.
- Ensuring proper garment alterations for guests and crew, including measuring, marking, and sewing.
- Managing the onboard tuxedo program, including rentals, pre-booked items, and inventory maintenance.
- Operating the onboard floral cart, preparing, delivering, and selling floral arrangements.
- Demonstrating exceptional customer service and resolving guest concerns in line with onboard problem resolution guidelines.
- Participating in meetings, training, and work-related activities as required.
- Performing additional job-related duties assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a tailor or seamstress in a commercial dry cleaning or related establishment.
- Ability to alter a variety of garments and operate sewing equipment.
- High school diploma or basic education equivalency preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with guests and coworkers.
Skills and Desired Knowledge
- Expertise in sewing, garment alteration, and handling different fabrics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, shipboard environment.
