Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair agricultural, turf, and compact construction equipment
- Perform on-site diagnostics and repairs on customer equipment and AMS products
- Carry out routine maintenance and advanced troubleshooting
- Participate in required Service EDUCATE training programs
- Support customer clinics and explain maintenance or repair concerns directly to customers
- Document service work accurately on work orders
- Promote and support company service programs when appropriate
- Maintain tools, service vehicle, and seasonal parts inventory
- Follow all safety rules and regulations at all times
- Complete reports and track time and materials used
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on service repair experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly
- Willingness to follow safety regulations and company procedures
Skills
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skills
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and basic computer applications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage on-site service tasks
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Desired Knowledge
- Experience with agricultural, turf, or compact construction equipment
- Knowledge of John Deere equipment and systems
- Licensed technician certifications (310T, 310S, 421A, or 425A)
- Advanced or Master Service Technician certification
- CDL and forklift licenses
- Apprenticeship training or technical diploma
