Responsibilities
The Plant Operator will manage daily plant activities, ensure safe operation, and support facility performance improvements. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and monitoring anaerobic digestion and gas upgrading systems.
- Managing feedstock input, digestion performance, gas conditioning, and biomethane production.
- Monitoring SCADA and automated control systems to maintain stable plant performance.
- Tracking key process parameters such as temperature, pressure, methane concentration, and flow rates.
- Responding to system alarms, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions.
- Collecting and analysing operational data and reporting performance results to the central technical team.
- Maintaining accurate logs, compliance documentation, and KPI reports.
- Conducting preventive maintenance and performing basic mechanical inspections.
- Assisting in troubleshooting plant equipment including pumps, compressors, valves, and digesters.
- Coordinating with external contractors for specialised maintenance work.
- Ensuring the facility remains clean, safe, and operationally ready at all times.
- Following environmental, health, and safety regulations and promoting a strong safety culture.
Requirements
