Responsibilities
As a Food Server at Shokudo, you are the face of our Izakaya and play a key role in shaping the guest experience. Your responsibilities include:
- Welcoming guests warmly with a genuine Irasshaimase!
- Ensuring guests feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visit
- Anticipating guest needs and delivering personalized service based on Omotenashi principles
- Presenting menus with strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Recommending otsumami, sake (including nihonshu, shochu, and umeshu), and Japanese beers
- Taking accurate food and beverage orders and entering them into the POS system
- Serving food and drinks promptly, elegantly, and according to service standards
- Handling guest feedback professionally and resolving issues with grace
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas
- Processing payments accurately and efficiently
- Acting as an ambassador for Japanese culture for both guests and team members
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality
- Fluency in English
- Availability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- A strong commitment to high service standards and guest satisfaction
