We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Site Operator Datacenter (80–100%) to support the reliable and high-availability operation of modern data centers in Eastern Switzerland. Responsibilities
As a Site Operator Datacenter, you will act as an all-rounder ensuring smooth and secure data center operations. Your main responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the uninterrupted operation of technical systems and infrastructure
- Performing maintenance tasks in collaboration with external suppliers
- Technical facility management, including inspections, site rounds, and quality controls
- Monitoring safety, quality, and performance standards
- Acting as the primary contact for new customers
- Installation, provisioning, and cabling of customer racks
- Providing technical support and services to existing customers
- Creating and maintaining operational and maintenance documentation
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Completed technical vocational training (e.g., electrician, automation technician, telecommunications technician, building IT specialist, or HVAC technician with control technology experience) or a comparable qualification
- Initial professional experience in maintenance and operation of technical systems
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and standard software (Microsoft Office)
- Willingness to participate in on-call (standby) service
- Mobility, including a valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Clean personal record
