Responsibilities
As an Engineer – Security, the primary responsibility is to protect the company’s people, physical assets, and intellectual property. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and deploying effective security measures and providing timely, accurate intelligence
- Enabling risk-based and collaborative decision-making to support current and future business operations
- Protecting employees, facilities, and valuable assets from preventable threats or harm
- Developing security policies and procedures in compliance with government guidelines and standards
- Conducting investigations to safeguard organizational assets
- Responding to contingency events such as bomb threats, sabotage, and severe weather conditions, independently or in coordination with government law enforcement agencies
- Recommending and overseeing external security contractors and contract guard forces when necessary
Additional responsibilities include performing all duties safely and supporting Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) programs and requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
- Approximately 4 years of experience handling security matters in an industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of government safety and security regulations
- Proven experience in designing and implementing effective security policies
- Ability to handle and respond to high-pressure situations requiring immediate on-site action
