Responsibilities
- Select and use correct tools for proper execution of welding tasks
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings accurately
- Perform welding joint preparation and execution according to approved welding procedures
- Ensure strict compliance with safety and quality standards at the workplace
- Grind welds back to original shape and contour using hand grinders
- Review and follow quality documentation as required
- Operate heating equipment such as oxy-acetylene and gas torches
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support FieldCore’s mission
- Travel extensively, both internationally and domestically
- Work flexible schedules, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Compliance with ISO certification requirements
- Experience in power generation environments (gas or steam turbines and auxiliary equipment) is preferred
Skills
- Proficiency in welding and metal fabrication techniques
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
- Capability to operate tools such as grinders, torches, cranes, forklifts, and jacking fixtures
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under time constraints
- Strong organizational skills
Desired Knowledge
- Trainee-level technical foundation with willingness to learn and grow
- Basic understanding of welding concepts, procedures, and field practices
- Experience in welding and grinding turbine components
- TIG welding experience preferred
- Familiarity with power generation equipment and field service operations
- English language proficiency
