Responsibilities
The Welder will be responsible for performing a wide range of welding and fabrication tasks, including:
- Carrying out welding repairs on piping, plant, and equipment
- Fabricating skip buckets and other structural components
- Performing SMAW welding for fabrication and pipe work
- Manufacturing and modifying gangways, cradles, yard equipment, and sheet metal works
- Welding modifications for shiplift platforms, STC platforms, gratings, and rails
- Ensuring safe usage of company tools and equipment and minimizing material wastage
- Maintaining strong working relationships with foremen, supervisors, and management
- Performing Foreman duties when appointed for specific projects
- Ensuring materials meet required standards before use and reporting any defects
- Completing tasks within allocated timelines to meet departmental targets
- Attending required training sessions
- Maintaining good housekeeping practices in all work areas
Requirements
