Responsibilities
As a Farm Worker, your duties will include:
- Perform daily farm chores as assigned by farm management
- Maintain litter conditions to ensure healthy environments for turkeys
- Record daily flock information for accurate documentation
- Operate farm machinery and equipment when required
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Comply with all live production procedures and company policies
- Follow strict biosecurity guidelines on the farm
- Handle and care for live turkeys according to animal welfare standards
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Support other farm duties as directed by management
Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned farm
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and uneven surfaces
- Ability to wear protective equipment such as safety glasses and respiratory gear
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
