Responsibilities
As a Welder on the Hunter Class Frigate Program, your main duties will include:
- Performing welding tasks as directed by production supervisors or managers
- Completing assigned duties within your level of training and competence
- Attending and completing on-the-job training programs
- Maintaining tools, materials, and welding equipment properly
- Working as part of a team to improve processes and efficiency
- Following all company safety procedures and maritime policies
- Ensuring high-quality welding standards and workmanship
- Supporting a safe and productive working environment
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
To be successful in this welder job in Henderson, WA, you should meet the following requirements:
- Trade qualification in welding or fabrication
- Experience in Aluminium MIG and Flux Core welding
- Ability to read and understand welding procedures and instructions
- Strong commitment to safety in the workplace
- Good time management and attendance record
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be an Australian citizen
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance
