Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, assign, and supervise the work of livestock workers, machinery operators, and farm labourers
- Assist with moving farm products during winter months and prepare goods for shipment
- Supervise breeding programs and other livestock-related operations
- Ensure farm cleanliness and proper care of tools, equipment, and machinery
- Monitor and enforce procedures related to animal health, crop health, and overall farm welfare
- Oversee growing and harvesting operations, including grain production
- Perform tree tapping for maple syrup production in all weather conditions
- Supervise maintenance of farm infrastructure, equipment, and supplies
- Ensure farm safety standards and procedures are consistently followed
- Perform general farm duties and other related tasks as required
Job Requirements
- Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working with small animals
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Available to work evenings and weekends when required
- Valid driver’s license is an asset
- Ability to operate farm machinery is an asset
- Mechanical aptitude is considered an advantage
