Civil Engineer Jobs in Australia. The Bathla Group is seeking experienced and motivated Civil Engineers to join its Construction Department in Sydney, NSW. Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Project Manager and provide support to the Site Manager
- Review project specifications and prepare Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) lists and check sheets
- Prepare and manage required samples and prototype submissions in line with project specifications
- Coordinate the submission and approval process for samples with subcontractors and consultants
- Maintain and update Quality Assurance systems in collaboration with the project team
- Take a proactive role in managing critical trades and ensuring completion of required check sheets
- Maintain and manage drawing registers and oversee shop drawing approval processes to avoid delays
- Mark up revised drawings, clearly identifying changes for costing, amendments, or subcontractor distribution
- Act as the primary point of contact for Site Managers, Foremen, subcontractors, and consultants regarding RFIs
- Provide weekly summaries of outstanding RFIs to the Site Manager and Project Manager for consultant meetings
- Support team members while developing strong communication and coordination skills
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience in residential apartment construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction specifications, drawings, and quality systems
- Experience managing RFIs, shop drawings, and subcontractor coordination
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
