POSITION

Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery. Add chemicals and clean lint traps. Identify stained or damaged items. Decide if items need repair, spot treatment, rewashing, or disposal. Inspect items after washing, drying, or dry cleaning. Place clean items in linen carts.

Set dryers to the correct time and temperature for the fabrics in each load. Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry-cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load. Fold clean items to the required size by hand or with a folding machine. Keep accurate records of all items laundered.

Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager. Complete required safety training and certifications.
